Budget Friendly Surabaya Layer

Lapis Surabaya Sangat Ekonomiss

Love lapis surabaya? this is three layer cake, yellow, brown, yellow. Some of you may know it with other names...
I like to try the premium recipes -premium, since its consume 10 egg yolks for one layer !! - but ya, the amount of eggs is so amazing...amazing thats is about 2 kilos for a cake, amazing to my purse, amazing how many egg white left, amazing how much cholesterol you will get...the taste should be EGGcelent... Actually I've try once with that recipe...but failed...whoaaaaa.... Try again? uh, I haven't made up my mind for that.

then I found that book... the low price recipes...yeaaaaa.... for this kind of cake, it's only need 6 whole eggs...SIX.... sure it will need emulsifier to help it..
Ok, I take this recipe...
and voila ...
finally, my lapsur is done... :D

good enough rite? picture was taken from my blekberi. the texture was soft and strong...exactly the way I expect...
honestly, I didn't divide it equally, so the chocolate layer is thicker than it should to be...:(... but sure you can make it prettier...
to have a luxury taste, just use premium ingredients...then your cheap cakes will looks & taste great... :D
